About Cronos
- Rank #40
- Networks: 2
Cronos (CRO) is the coin of the Crypto.com ecosystem and of the Cronos blockchain, which is Ethereum-compatible: the same wallets and 0x addresses work there, and fees are paid in CRO. Since July 2025 a Cronos block comes in under a second.
CRO is often swapped to move it from Ethereum, where it sits as an ERC-20 token, to the native Cronos network — and to get the coin needed for gas in that network's apps.
CRO lives on three networks, and they are different assets. The form offers two: Cronos, the coin's native network, also called Cronos EVM, and Ethereum, where CRO is issued as an ERC-20 token. The third is Cronos POS, formerly Crypto.org Chain, with addresses starting with cro1: it does not work here, and CRO from it will not reach the Cronos network by itself.
Cronos and Ethereum addresses look the same: 0x followed by 40 hex characters. The address does not reveal which network the recipient expects, so the form asks for the network separately. If the networks get mixed up on a transfer to your own wallet, you can recover the CRO with the same key by switching the wallet to the other network. If the address belongs to an exchange, only its support can return the coins.
The fee is paid in the network's coin. On Cronos that is CRO itself, so when sending your whole balance, leave a little for gas. CRO on Ethereum needs ETH: without it, ERC-20 tokens cannot leave the wallet.
To see CRO on the Cronos network in MetaMask or another EVM wallet, add the Cronos network (chain ID 25). Exchanges usually label the networks Cronos (or Cronos EVM), Cronos POS and Ethereum (ERC20) — match the name with the one picked in the form.
A Cronos block comes in under a second, and a transaction included in a block is final right away. An Ethereum block comes every 12 seconds, and recipients usually wait for a few more confirmations. A personal wallet needs no memo on any of these networks.

FAQ
Didn't find an answer? Open support and give your exchange code — we'll find the operation and help you sort it out.
SupportNo. Registration, verification and documents are not required — all you need is the wallet address the funds will arrive at.
Available networks: Ethereum, Cronos. The network is chosen in the exchange form — make sure the recipient address belongs to the same one.
A 42-character 0x address on the network you picked in the form: Cronos or Ethereum. The address fits both networks, so check which one the recipient's wallet or exchange expects. A Cronos POS address starting with cro1 will not work.
On Cronos a block comes in under a second and is final right away; on Ethereum it comes every 12 seconds, plus a few confirmations. Crediting CRO takes from seconds to a few minutes; the rest depends on the selected route.
Any coin in the catalogue — pick it in the "You receive" field. Popular Cronos directions are listed further down this page.
They are two separate networks sharing one coin. Cronos (Cronos EVM) is Ethereum-compatible and uses 0x addresses; Cronos POS, formerly Crypto.org Chain, uses addresses starting with cro1. CRO sent on one will not show up on the other.
Most likely the wallet is set to the wrong network. CRO on Cronos appears when the wallet is on the Cronos network (chain ID 25); the CRO token on Ethereum appears when Ethereum is selected and the token is added to the list.
Choose the coins, networks and amount. The service compares available offers so you can select a route and enter your receiving address. Review the terms, create the exchange and send funds to the provided address on the specified network. Processing is automatic, and you can track the exchange with its code in the same interface, without registering.
Open support on the site and provide your exchange code. This lets us find the transaction, check its stage and help with a delay, an error or the terms of a possible refund. Keep your code and transfer details. No account is needed to contact us; never send private keys or a seed phrase.
