Pump.fun (PUMP) is the token of pump.fun, the platform where meme coins are launched on Solana, and of its AMM exchange PumpSwap. The token came out in July 2025; according to the project, part of the platform's revenue goes to buying back and burning PUMP.

PUMP is most often swapped by Solana meme coin traders — to take the token off an exchange into their own wallet or to turn it into SOL.

PUMP is a Solana token issued under the Token-2022 standard, mint address pumpCmXqMfrsAkQ5r49WcJnRayYRqmXz6ae8H7H9Dfn. Minting new tokens and freezing balances are disabled: those authorities are set to null in the mint. On pump.fun anyone can launch a token with any name, so it is safer to add PUMP to a wallet and check transfers by the mint address.

PUMP is received at an ordinary Solana wallet address — a case-sensitive string of 32–44 letters and digits. The same address accepts SOL and any Solana token: each token gets its own token account linked to it, created on first receipt. A personal wallet needs no memo.

Fees on Solana are paid in SOL. PUMP can arrive in an empty wallet, but you cannot send it on without SOL. A new token account also needs a small SOL deposit (rent), paid by whoever sends the token to that address first.
