MemeCore (M) is the coin of the layer 1 blockchain of the same name, built for meme coins. On its own network M pays for gas and is used for validator staking and voting; on BNB Smart Chain it exists as a BEP20 token carried over by a bridge.
MemeCore is usually swapped to get it on BNB Smart Chain, in a familiar EVM wallet, without adding the separate MemeCore network: there it trades on regular DEXes, and it can be bridged back to its home network when needed.
M comes in two forms. The native coin lives on the MemeCore blockchain — an EVM-compatible network with chain ID 4352 — and pays for gas there. On BNB Smart Chain, M is a BEP20 token with contract 0x22b1458e780f8fa71e2f84502cee8b5a3cc731fa, minted by the bridge when coins are moved over from MemeCore. The swap happens on BNB Smart Chain.
Addresses look the same on both networks — 0x and 42 characters — and one key controls the address on MemeCore and on BNB Smart Chain alike. So a mix-up cannot be seen in the address. If an exchange accepts M only on the MemeCore network, a BEP20 token sent to its address will not be credited automatically: check the network in its deposit instructions first.
The main trap is the fee. On the MemeCore network gas is paid in M, but moving the BEP20 M token on BNB Smart Chain costs BNB. A wallet holding only M on BNB Smart Chain cannot send the token until it has some BNB.
A BNB Smart Chain block comes in under half a second, and a transfer is confirmed within seconds. No memo is needed. When adding M to a wallet, use the contract address: the ticker is a single letter, and searching by name is unreliable.

On BNB Smart Chain, with BNB. M pays for gas only on its own MemeCore network; on BNB Smart Chain it is an ordinary token and cannot be sent without BNB in the wallet.
