Monero (XMR) is a cryptocurrency that is private by default: the blockchain shows neither the sender, nor the recipient, nor the amount. It has run on its own blockchain since 2014, with a new block roughly every 2 minutes.
Several large exchanges have dropped XMR — Binance in 2024, Kraken for users in the European Economic Area — so Monero is now often bought and sold through wallet-to-wallet swaps.
A Monero address is long — 95 characters. A wallet's primary address starts with 4, a subaddress with 8. There is also the integrated address, 106 characters and also starting with 4: it carries a payment ID and is usually issued by exchanges. A subaddress is the handy choice for receiving: take a fresh one for each swap and incoming transfers cannot be linked to each other.
Monero has no memo; a personal wallet needs only the address. If an exchange gives you a deposit address plus a separate Payment ID, that is an outdated scheme — current wallets no longer send long Payment IDs. Ask the exchange for an integrated address or a subaddress.
A Monero block comes roughly every 2 minutes. Received coins can be moved on only after 10 blocks, about 20 minutes: this is a protocol rule and a higher fee does not speed it up. That is why crediting XMR almost always takes longer than for coins with fast blocks.
Monero transfers are not visible in a regular block explorer. You can prove a payment with the transaction key (tx key): together with the transaction hash and the recipient address it shows the payment went out. Keep it until the swap is finished.
A common mistake is checking the balance in a wallet that has not finished syncing. Until it reaches the latest block, incoming XMR do not show up, even though the transfer is already on the network.

The receiving address must be on the same network you chose in the form. An address from another network won't work — the transfer will fail.

Your Monero wallet address: 95 characters, the primary one starts with 4, a subaddress with 8. Either works; for privacy, use a fresh subaddress for each swap.
A Monero block comes every 2 minutes, and received XMR unlock after 10 blocks — about 20 minutes. That is how long crediting an incoming transfer takes; the rest depends on the selected route.

No, a regular wallet needs only the address. A separate Payment ID is an outdated scheme. If an exchange asks for one on deposit, ask it for an integrated address instead: it starts with 4 and is longer than usual, 106 characters.
A block explorer does not show Monero amounts or addresses. Proof of payment is the transaction key (tx key) from your wallet together with the transaction hash.
Choose the coins, networks and amount. The service compares available offers so you can select a route and enter your receiving address. Review the terms, create the exchange and send funds to the provided address on the specified network. Open support on the site and provide your exchange code. This lets us find the transaction, check its stage and help with a delay, an error or the terms of a possible refund. Keep your code and transfer details. No account is needed to contact us; never send private keys or a seed phrase.
