About AAVE
- Rank #46
- Networks: 11
AAVE is the governance token of Aave, a lending protocol: some users deposit crypto into pools to earn interest, others borrow from them against collateral. AAVE holders vote on protocol parameters and can stake the token in the protocol's safety module, receiving stkAAVE in return. AAVE arrived in 2020, replacing LEND, the token of ETHLend, as the project used to be called; LEND was converted to AAVE at 100 to 1.
AAVE is often swapped to gather it on Ethereum: staking in the safety module and voting work with AAVE on Ethereum, and the token on an L2 or Solana cannot be used for that.
The main AAVE is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum at contract 0x7fc66500c84a76ad7e9c93437bfc5ac33e2ddae9. Arbitrum, Base and Polygon carry bridged copies, BNB Smart Chain the Binance-Peg version, and Solana a token issued through the Sunrise bridge. Each network has its own contract, and AAVE sent on one network will not show up on another.
On Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon and BNB Smart Chain the recipient address has the same format: 0x and 42 characters. On Solana an address is a string of 32–44 letters and digits with no prefix. Solana has several tokens with the AAVE ticker; the Sunrise-issued one has an address starting with AavE1kK. On Aptos the address starts with 0x but is longer: 64 characters after the prefix.
Derivative tokens cause frequent mix-ups. stkAAVE is AAVE staked in the safety module: to get plain AAVE back, you start a cooldown (currently 2 days) and then withdraw within the following 2 days, or the cooldown has to start over. aAAVE (often shown as aEthAAVE) is AAVE deposited in an Aave pool to earn interest; you withdraw it in the protocol interface. A swap needs AAVE itself.
The fee is paid in the network's coin: ETH on Ethereum, Arbitrum and Base, POL on Polygon, BNB on BNB Smart Chain, SOL on Solana, APT on Aptos. An Ethereum block comes every 12 seconds; a Solana slot lasts about 0.4 seconds. For AAVE to land in a Solana wallet, a separate token account is created for it; the sender pays for opening it, and the recipient does not need to do anything.

AAVE networks
The receiving address must be on the same network you chose in the form. An address from another network won't work — the transfer will fail.

SupportNo. Registration, verification and documents are not required — all you need is the wallet address the funds will arrive at.
Available networks: Base, Fantom, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche C-Chain, Aptos, NEAR Protocol, Ethereum, Solana, BNB Smart Chain. The network is chosen in the exchange form — make sure the recipient address belongs to the same one.
A wallet address on the network chosen in the form: for Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon and BNB Smart Chain, a 42-character address starting with 0x; for Solana, a Solana address of 32–44 characters; for Aptos, a 66-character address starting with 0x. If the form is set to another network, you need an address on that network.
An Ethereum block comes every 12 seconds, and recipients usually wait a few minutes of confirmations. On Solana, the L2s, Polygon, BNB Smart Chain and Aptos a transfer confirms in seconds. The rest depends on the selected route.
Any coin in the catalogue — pick it in the "You receive" field. Popular AAVE directions are listed further down this page.
No, first turn them back into plain AAVE. stkAAVE is unstaked: first comes a cooldown (currently 2 days), then you have 2 days to withdraw. aAAVE is withdrawn from the Aave pool in the protocol interface.
By the token address: the Sunrise-issued one starts with AavE1kK. Other tokens with the AAVE ticker exist on Solana too — when adding the token to a wallet by hand, check the full address.
Choose the coins, networks and amount. The service compares available offers so you can select a route and enter your receiving address. Review the terms, create the exchange and send funds to the provided address on the specified network. Processing is automatic, and you can track the exchange with its code in the same interface, without registering.
Open support on the site and provide your exchange code. This lets us find the transaction, check its stage and help with a delay, an error or the terms of a possible refund. Keep your code and transfer details. No account is needed to contact us; never send private keys or a seed phrase.
