About Bitcoin Cash
- Rank #22
- Networks: 2
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is an offshoot of Bitcoin that split off in August 2017 after a dispute over how to scale the network. Bitcoin Cash raised the block size and dropped SegWit, while a block still comes roughly every 10 minutes.
Bitcoin Cash is often sold by owners of old Bitcoin wallets: anyone who held BTC on their own keys at the moment of the split ended up with the same amount of BCH on those keys, and those coins can be claimed and swapped.
The main address format is CashAddr: a 42-character string starting with q (a regular address) or p (a script address). The full form carries the bitcoincash: prefix, but many wallets hide it. Addresses starting with z and r are the same CashAddr for wallets that support CashTokens; if the form does not accept one, take a regular q address from your wallet.
Old addresses starting with 1 and 3 also work on Bitcoin Cash — exactly like in Bitcoin. That makes it easy to send BTC or BCH to the wrong network. If such coins went to your own wallet, you can usually recover them by opening the same keys in a wallet for the other network; from an exchange address, only through its support, and not always. That is why CashAddr is the better format for BCH.
If you held BTC in your own wallet when the networks split on 1 August 2017, the same keys hold the same amount of BCH. To claim it, restore the seed phrase in a wallet that supports Bitcoin Cash. Move the BTC on those keys to a new address first: keys entered into another app are best treated as exposed.
A block comes every 10 minutes on average. Many recipients wait for more confirmations for BCH than for Bitcoin — up to 15 blocks, about two and a half hours. The fee is paid in BCH and is usually tiny; Bitcoin Cash has no replace-by-fee (RBF). There is no memo or tag either.
BCH also exists as a token on BNB Smart Chain (BEP20): the address there starts with 0x and fees are paid in BNB. It is a separate asset, and a CashAddr address does not work for it.

The receiving address must be on the same network you chose in the form. An address from another network won't work — the transfer will fail.

SupportNo. Registration, verification and documents are not required — all you need is the wallet address the funds will arrive at.
Available networks: Bitcoin Cash, BNB Smart Chain. The network is chosen in the exchange form — make sure the recipient address belongs to the same one.
A Bitcoin Cash wallet address in CashAddr format: it starts with q or p, sometimes with the bitcoincash: prefix. An old address starting with 1 or 3 technically works too, but it is easy to confuse with a Bitcoin one. If the form is set to BNB Smart Chain, you need a 0x address on that network.
A Bitcoin Cash block comes roughly every 10 minutes, and recipients often wait for up to 15 confirmations: crediting BCH takes from 10 minutes to two and a half hours. The rest depends on the selected route.
Any coin in the catalogue — pick it in the "You receive" field. Popular Bitcoin Cash directions are listed further down this page.
A Bitcoin Cash wallet will let you do it if the address is in the old format starting with 1 or 3. The coins end up on the BCH network under that address's keys: whoever owns the keys can recover them by opening them in a Bitcoin Cash wallet, while an exchange will do it only if it agrees to.
Restore the seed phrase or keys of the wallet that held BTC on 1 August 2017 in a wallet that supports Bitcoin Cash. Before that, move the BTC on those keys to a new address.
Choose the coins, networks and amount. The service compares available offers so you can select a route and enter your receiving address. Review the terms, create the exchange and send funds to the provided address on the specified network. Processing is automatic, and you can track the exchange with its code in the same interface, without registering.
Open support on the site and provide your exchange code. This lets us find the transaction, check its stage and help with a delay, an error or the terms of a possible refund. Keep your code and transfer details. No account is needed to contact us; never send private keys or a seed phrase.
