About Litecoin
- Rank #24
- Networks: 3
Litecoin (LTC) is a cryptocurrency built on Bitcoin's code, with the Scrypt mining algorithm and a block every 2.5 minutes. Since 2022 the network has MWEB, an extra layer where transfer amounts and addresses are hidden.
Litecoin is a common pick for moving funds between your own wallets and exchanges: blocks come four times as often as on Bitcoin, and the network fee is usually much lower.
Litecoin has several address types. Current ones start with ltc1q (SegWit) or ltc1p (Taproot), older standard ones with L. Script addresses start with M, or with 3 in the old encoding — the same as in Bitcoin. An address starting with 3 looks exactly like a Bitcoin one, which is why wallets moved to the M format, and some services do not accept 3 addresses at all.
Addresses starting with ltcmweb1 belong to MWEB, Litecoin's private layer. Only some wallets can send to and from them, and many exchanges do not support MWEB transfers. For a swap, a regular ltc1q or L address is the safer choice: you can move the coins into MWEB inside your own wallet later.
A block comes every 2.5 minutes on average. Recipients usually wait for 6 to 12 confirmations, so crediting LTC takes from 15 minutes to half an hour. The fee is paid in LTC and, as with Bitcoin, depends on the transaction size, not on the amount. Litecoin has no memo or tag.
Besides its own network, LTC exists as a token on BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) and Aptos — these networks are listed further down the page. A BEP20 address starts with 0x and also fits Ethereum, so check which network the recipient expects; an Aptos address is 0x followed by 64 hex characters. Fees for moving such a token are paid in BNB or APT, and without them the token cannot leave the wallet. A Litecoin address does not work for the tokens, and vice versa.

The receiving address must be on the same network you chose in the form. An address from another network won't work — the transfer will fail.

SupportNo. Registration, verification and documents are not required — all you need is the wallet address the funds will arrive at.
Available networks: Litecoin, Aptos, BNB Smart Chain. The network is chosen in the exchange form — make sure the recipient address belongs to the same one.
Your Litecoin wallet address, starting with ltc1, L or M. An MWEB address starting with ltcmweb1 works only if the form accepts it. If the form is set to BNB Smart Chain or Aptos, you need a wallet address on that network.
A Litecoin block comes roughly every 2.5 minutes, and recipients usually wait for 6 to 12 confirmations: crediting LTC takes from 15 minutes to half an hour. The rest depends on the selected route.
Any coin in the catalogue — pick it in the "You receive" field. Popular Litecoin directions are listed further down this page.
Only if the sender can send into MWEB, and many exchanges and services cannot — they will simply reject an ltcmweb1 address. It is safer to receive LTC to a regular ltc1q address and then move it into MWEB in your own wallet.
They are the same script address in two encodings. The 3 version looks just like a Bitcoin address, so wallets switched to M. If a service does not accept a 3 address, take an ltc1q or L address from your wallet.
Choose the coins, networks and amount. The service compares available offers so you can select a route and enter your receiving address. Review the terms, create the exchange and send funds to the provided address on the specified network. Processing is automatic, and you can track the exchange with its code in the same interface, without registering.
Open support on the site and provide your exchange code. This lets us find the transaction, check its stage and help with a delay, an error or the terms of a possible refund. Keep your code and transfer details. No account is needed to contact us; never send private keys or a seed phrase.
