About Zcash
- Rank #10
- Networks: 6
Zcash (ZEC) is a cryptocurrency with optional privacy: a transfer can be sent in the open, as with bitcoin, or with the sender, recipient and amount hidden by zero-knowledge proofs. The network has run since 2016, with a block roughly every 75 seconds.
Zcash is often bought through a swap to get the coins straight into your own wallet and move them into the shielded pool: exchanges mostly send and accept ZEC on transparent t1 addresses.
Zcash has several kinds of addresses, and for a swap that is what matters most. Transparent ones start with t1 or t3, and transfers to them are visible on the blockchain, as with bitcoin. Shielded Sapling addresses start with zs, unified addresses with u1: a unified address bundles several receivers at once, including the private Orchard pool.
Many services and exchanges accept and send ZEC only to transparent addresses. Wallets with shielded transfers often show a unified u1 address by default. If the form does not accept it, take a transparent t1 address from the same wallet: the wallet can later move the coins that arrive there into the shielded pool.
You may also see addresses starting with tex1 — transparent addresses that accept funds only from transparent addresses (the ZIP 320 standard). Some exchanges issue them for deposits. A wallet that knows the format will route the transfer through a transparent address itself; an older wallet will simply reject a tex1 address.
A Zcash block comes roughly every 75 seconds. Recipients usually wait for several confirmations, so crediting ZEC takes from a few minutes to half an hour. A shielded balance appears in the wallet after it syncs; if the wallet has not been opened for a while, that can take some time.
Besides its own network, ZEC exists as a token on other blockchains — they are listed further down the page. Everything above about t1, zs and u1 addresses applies to the Zcash network only: a ZEC token needs an address on the network you picked in the form.
How to exchange Zcash
- 1
Pick Zcash (ZEC) in the "You send" field and enter an amount.
- 2
Choose the coin and network you want to receive. The rate is calculated automatically.
- 3
Enter the recipient's wallet address. No email, no phone, no documents.
- 4
Press "Exchange" and send Zcash to the address you get.
- 5
After the route is confirmed, funds are sent to the address you provided; timing depends on the provider and network.
- 6
Keep the exchange code in case you need to check the status or contact support.
Zcash networks
The receiving address must be on the same network you chose in the form. An address from another network won't work — the transfer will fail.

FAQ
Didn't find an answer? Open support and give your exchange code — we'll find the operation and help you sort it out.
SupportNo. Registration, verification and documents are not required — all you need is the wallet address the funds will arrive at.
Available networks: Zcash, NEAR Protocol, Solana, Starknet, Aptos, BNB Smart Chain. The network is chosen in the exchange form — make sure the recipient address belongs to the same one.
The safest choice is a transparent Zcash address starting with t1 or t3: everyone accepts it. A unified u1 or shielded zs address works only if the form accepts it; if not, take a transparent address from the same wallet. If the form is set to another network where ZEC exists as a token, you need a wallet address on that network.
A Zcash block comes roughly every 75 seconds, and recipients usually wait for several confirmations: crediting ZEC takes from a few minutes to half an hour. The rest depends on the selected route.
Any coin in the catalogue — pick it in the "You receive" field. Popular Zcash directions are listed further down this page.
Yes, the wallet will move the coins from the shielded pool to the recipient's transparent address itself. The exception is tex1 addresses: they accept funds only from a transparent address, and a wallet without ZIP 320 support will not accept such an address.
No, a ZEC transfer needs only the address. Shielded transfers have a field for an encrypted note, but a swap does not need it.
Choose the coins, networks and amount. The service compares available offers so you can select a route and enter your receiving address. Review the terms, create the exchange and send funds to the provided address on the specified network. Processing is automatic, and you can track the exchange with its code in the same interface, without registering.
Open support on the site and provide your exchange code. This lets us find the transaction, check its stage and help with a delay, an error or the terms of a possible refund. Keep your code and transfer details. No account is needed to contact us; never send private keys or a seed phrase.
