About Gram (TON/TonCoin)
- Rank #31
- Networks: 3
Gram (GRAM) is the native coin of the TON blockchain (The Open Network), known until June 2026 as Toncoin with the ticker TON. The rename followed a community vote: the network is still called TON, and addresses, balances and transaction history stayed the same.
Toncoin, now Gram, is often bought for Telegram: it pays for purchases on Fragment, including Telegram usernames and Stars, and it covers the fees for sending USDT and other tokens on TON.
Gram and Toncoin are the same coin. On June 15, 2026, the ticker changed from TON to GRAM, with nothing to swap or migrate. Some wallets, exchanges and explorers may still show the old name: if you see Toncoin or TON as a coin, it is the same asset.
A TON address is usually written in the user-friendly form — 48 characters starting with UQ or EQ. Both forms lead to the same wallet and differ in how a transfer behaves. A transfer to an EQ address bounces back to the sender if the recipient's wallet is not yet active, meaning it has never sent anything. A UQ address accepts the transfer either way, so it is the safer choice for a new wallet. You may also see the raw form: 0: followed by 64 hex characters.
A personal wallet needs no memo. For deposits, exchanges usually give a shared address plus a comment (memo): without it the coins reach the exchange but not your balance. TON wallets let you send to a .ton domain instead of an address, but a swap needs the address itself.
Since the Catchain 2.0 upgrade in April 2026, a TON block comes roughly every 0.4 seconds and a transaction is final in about a second. Fees are paid in GRAM: without it, a wallet can send neither Gram itself nor tokens on TON.
Besides the TON network, GRAM also exists on Ethereum as the wrapped ERC-20 token Wrapped TON Coin, issued by the TON bridge. The bridge shut down on September 1, 2026, so these tokens can no longer be brought back to TON through it. Ethereum needs a 0x address and ETH for the fee. If you need the coins for Telegram or TON apps, choose the TON network.

FAQ
Didn't find an answer? Open support and give your exchange code — we'll find the operation and help you sort it out.
SupportNo. Registration, verification and documents are not required — all you need is the wallet address the funds will arrive at.
Available networks: Ethereum, TON, BNB Smart Chain. The network is chosen in the exchange form — make sure the recipient address belongs to the same one.
For the TON network, a 48-character TON wallet address starting with UQ or EQ; for a new wallet that is not yet active, UQ is safer. If the form is set to Ethereum, you need a 0x address.
A TON block comes roughly every 0.4 seconds and a transaction is final in about a second, so crediting GRAM takes seconds. On Ethereum a block comes every 12 seconds. The rest depends on the selected route.
Any coin in the catalogue — pick it in the "You receive" field. Popular Gram directions are listed further down this page.
Yes. In June 2026 Toncoin was renamed Gram and the ticker TON became GRAM. The network is still called TON, and addresses and balances did not change.
Not for a personal wallet. A comment is needed when depositing to an exchange that gives a shared address: without it the transfer will not be credited to your account automatically.
Choose the coins, networks and amount. The service compares available offers so you can select a route and enter your receiving address. Review the terms, create the exchange and send funds to the provided address on the specified network. Processing is automatic, and you can track the exchange with its code in the same interface, without registering.
Open support on the site and provide your exchange code. This lets us find the transaction, check its stage and help with a delay, an error or the terms of a possible refund. Keep your code and transfer details. No account is needed to contact us; never send private keys or a seed phrase.
