About Tether
- Rank #3
- Networks: 16
Tether (USDT) is the most widely used stablecoin: its price stays close to 1 US dollar, backed by the reserves of its issuer, Tether. The token is issued on several blockchains at once, and on each one it is a separate asset with its own addresses and fees.
Most often USDT is swapped to move it from one network to another — say, from TRC20 to ERC20 or Solana — when the recipient's wallet or exchange accepts only a different network.
Tether has no single blockchain of its own. USDT on Tron (TRC20), Ethereum (ERC20), BNB Smart Chain (BEP20), Solana, TON and other networks are different tokens: USDT sent on one network will not show up on another. So the network is what matters most in a swap. The form asks for it separately, and the recipient address must belong to it.
Addresses differ by network. On Tron they start with T and are 34 characters long, on Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain they start with 0x and are 42 characters, on Solana it is a string of 32–44 letters and digits, on TON they usually start with UQ or EQ. A 0x address is the riskiest: it is valid on both Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain, so a mistake is invisible at a glance. If Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain are mixed up, USDT sent to your own wallet can be recovered with the same key on the other network; from an exchange address, only through its support, and not always. Addresses on the other networks do not overlap, and a wallet will simply refuse to send to an address of the wrong format.
To move USDT on later, the wallet needs the network's coin for the fee: TRX on Tron, ETH on Ethereum, BNB on BNB Smart Chain, SOL on Solana, GRAM (formerly Toncoin) on TON. A common case: USDT TRC20 arrive in a new wallet and cannot be sent because it holds no TRX.
Speed depends on the network. A Tron block comes every 3 seconds, an Ethereum block every 12 seconds, Solana and BNB Smart Chain blocks in under a second. The recipient usually waits for a few more confirmations, which usually takes a few minutes.
A personal wallet does not need a memo. Exchanges ask for one on deposit — most often on TON, where it is called a comment. When sending to an exchange, use the address and memo from its instructions.

Tether networks
The receiving address must be on the same network you chose in the form. An address from another network won't work — the transfer will fail.

FAQ
Didn't find an answer? Open support and give your exchange code — we'll find the operation and help you sort it out.
SupportNo. Registration, verification and documents are not required — all you need is the wallet address the funds will arrive at.
Available networks: NEAR Protocol, TON, Aptos, Avalanche C-Chain, Liquid Network, Tron, opBNB, Polkadot Asset Hub, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Celo, Ethereum, Solana. The network is chosen in the exchange form — make sure the recipient address belongs to the same one.
An address on the network you picked in the form: for TRC20, a Tron address starting with T; for ERC20 and BEP20, an address starting with 0x; for Solana, a Solana address. A 0x address fits both Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain, so check which network the recipient's wallet or exchange expects.
The USDT transfer itself takes from a few seconds to a couple of minutes: a Tron block comes every 3 seconds, an Ethereum block every 12 seconds. The rest depends on the selected route.
Any coin in the catalogue — pick it in the "You receive" field. Popular Tether directions are listed further down this page.
The one the recipient's wallet or exchange supports. If you have a choice, think about the next transfer: its fee is paid in the network's coin — TRX, ETH, BNB or SOL — and the wallet needs to hold some.
Not for a personal wallet. A memo or comment is needed only if the recipient asks for it — usually an exchange on deposit, most often on TON.
Choose the coins, networks and amount. The service compares available offers so you can select a route and enter your receiving address. Review the terms, create the exchange and send funds to the provided address on the specified network. Processing is automatic, and you can track the exchange with its code in the same interface, without registering.
Open support on the site and provide your exchange code. This lets us find the transaction, check its stage and help with a delay, an error or the terms of a possible refund. Keep your code and transfer details. No account is needed to contact us; never send private keys or a seed phrase.
